Toad in the Hole
Serves 4
2tbsp olive oil
8 thick sausages
Yorkshire Pudding
115g Plain flour
A pinch Black pepper
1 egg
300ml milk
To start the Yorkshire pudding, sift the flour and pepper into a bowl and make a well in the centre. Beat the egg and add to the flour, along with half of the milk. Beat well until the batter is smooth, and then add the rest of the milk. Put top one side whilst the oven heats up to 200'C
Heat the oil in a roasting tin in the oven and grill the sausages. Put the sausages in to the oil and add the batter, put back into the oven immediately and bake until risen and golden brown, around 30-35 minutes.
